What's left to burn?

Formed in Québec in 2021, Burning Attic writes music that resists easy categorization. Blending elements of thrash, metalcore, and modern metal, the band doesn't sit in one lane — fans from different corners of the metal spectrum consistently find their own entry point, drawn together by the same rage, tension, and vulnerability at the core of every song.

The band doesn't stand above anyone. It isn't leading a movement, and it isn't claiming to have the answers. Burning Attic names what frustrates it — the things people feel but rarely say out loud — instead of pretending everything is fine. If you recognize yourself in that, you're not an audience. You're already part of it.

The system is built to make you think you're free. If you actually were, would you still need to ask?

Fire runs through everything Burning Attic makes — not as a stage prop, but as the point. Purification. Transformation. What's left standing after something is burned down. One idea sits underneath it all: take humanity out of the picture, and everything left behind grows back louder, wilder, more alive.

Two EPs. Multiple singles. One heavy, oppressive sound, delivered the same way onstage as in the studio: without compromise.

Burning Attic is Charles-Antoine Rancourt (lead vocals), Xavier Valois (guitar, backing vocals), William Blaney (guitar, backing vocals), Déreck Rouillard (bass), and Alessandro Vasquez (drums).
